Blog Entry 1 of 8 Dooty and Honor
My take on the political scene, spiced with bits of life-as-it-happens. I'll try and separate the fertilizer from the facts, at least as I see it. Coming from the perspective of a not-so-average guy with little or no respect for sacred cows, moose or squirrels. A master debater and wielder of a needle-sharp wit guaranteed to pop the toughest gasbag. Count on seeing people you know and love lampooned and harpooned with impunity and puns galore. No one will be spared, that's a promise. (Note: this blog not recommended for the humor-impaired and you know who you is.)

Do you hear barking?

Greetings from the wilds of Longtucky*, Colorado, biggest little town on the Front Range!

When I first encountered Longmont, I was a young man (ohhh sooo long ago... sniffle), ignorant of the ways of cruising Main and new to the taste of beer. I'm happy to say Longmont filled (spackled?) both of those gaping chasms in my social life. Now I can 'drag the gut' with the best of em and truly appreciate a lowrider and a fifteen-second belch-recital of the alphabet.

Fast-forward a coupla decades and here I am, older and wiser ( IT COULD HAPPEN!) and suddenly enmeshed (is that a word?) in the ever-so-greasy gears of politics ( euuuw!!)

( What the heck is UP with all these parentheticals? Is it just that my inner voice won't shut up? Maybe it's the scopolamine interacting with the thorazine again, we may never know...)

At any rate...

After reading all the various blogs out there and having a Blogger.com blog for a number of years ( kin y'all say MuskratHunt?? KNEW YA CUD!), sources who will remain nameless (but her initials are KF) encouraged me to crank up a blog on YourTube, errr UrineTub DOH! YOURHUB(!!) so I could share all my 'inner voice goodness' with the fine burghers, burgherettes and assorted weenies (waves at Bingster enthusiastically, HEY BOAH!) in my home town.

Did I mention I's a Demmiecrat? Ayup. Just like the folks that Alferd Packer et way back when. SO, to thems of Packer's political persuasion, I'd like to offer this friendly invitation to (EAT ME!**) swing on by the comment section and leave a little sumptin-sumptin of your own.

With any luck at all, this gibberish will actually get published on REAL fishwrap one day. I gots me big plans I do! Big plans. But right now it's time to go duct-tape the parakeets for the night.

Y'all come back now, y'heah?

PS - Goodnight Richie! I love you!

(* that's Longmont to you unwashed furriners in other parts of this great country)

(** I hear that's what Packer's first victim said when he refused to share his grilled horsemeat)

Golly, and here I thought the LF would just ignore me. Silly of me to assume they'd do the smart thing. (giggle)
