My take on the political scene, spiced with bits of life-as-it-happens. I'll try and separate the fertilizer from the facts, at least as I see it. Coming from the perspective of a not-so-average guy with little or no respect for sacred cows, moose or squirrels. A master debater and wielder of a needle-sharp wit guaranteed to pop the toughest gasbag. Count on seeing people you know and love lampooned and harpooned with impunity and puns galore. No one will be spared, that's a promise. (Note: this blog not recommended for the humor-impaired and you know who you is.)

Ah, election season.

It's really wonderful to see the ranks of the faithful form up and begin stomping across the blogosphere... in a purely-martial shock-and-awe kinda way. You can't visit a discussion board or blog site without seeing angry, semi-literate wingnut raving or passionate moderately-coherent (speaking strictly for myself!) moonbat crooning. It's much like being in a rainforest at night - 'cept that stuff dripping from the trees ain't rain.

I'd like to offer my fondest regards for all my supporters and detractors - ladies and gents, right here you see the First Amendment in full flower. Not always pretty and sometimes pretty darn smelly (No particular person in mind there, you're all good at filling in the blanks).

A good friend of mine was telling me about a recent trip to Brazil and how government leaders there are immune to prosecution for crimes and political dissent by the minority party is dealt with summarily.

If you want to see what would happen to the US if all of our civil rights were lost, you have no need to look further than our southern neighbor. (No! NO! NOT Firestone!)

So, to all the hardcores on both sides, sharpen your axes and iron your very best bloody shirts - cry havoc and let slip the blogs of war!

...and let's be careful out there.

Bingy, Bingy me boyo, tread gently on those poor, downtrodden LF'ers! I mean, really, their lives are falling apart all around em! Why, realtors in Longmont may have to settle for Nissan Maximas instead of Cadillacs!! Developers might only get a MONTH of tropical vacation next year instead of two! For the love of GOD man! Some compassion for our opponents in their hour of suffering!! (chokes back a sob and dabs gently at eyes)

F.F. not only cowardly to remain anonymous but a ridiculous conclusion to boot. It's amazing to me someone would actually be against the First Amendment and freedom of speech. So who's putting country second here tiger? And when you use quotes, make sure your quoting somebody.

Doug is very loyal and dedicated to his country. It is the LF that has no value, but we sure love hearing from you, especially when you are off your meds. Best entertainment in town.
