Blog Entry 202 of 208 The Subversive Liberal
"If by a "liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights and their civil liberties — someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "liberal." – President John F. Kennedy...................... Some people find me and that sentiment subversive. I'm here to set the record straight and offer the real typical liberal point of view. Some call it subversive, I call it patriotic.

McCain has no shame
Contributed by: Bing Van Gorden   on 9/24/2008

The latest slap in the face of truth from John McCain.

This afternoon he shamelessly suggested that he had asked Senator Obama to put politics on hold to try and solve this financial crisis. McCain came late to the party regarding the mess he and his deregulators created over decades of tearing down protections for consumers. But that's not the real kicker.

He's lying again! Barack Obama's campaign came to McCain to hold a joint press conference and announce they were both going to work together in a bipartisan fashion to fix the mess. McCain agreed, then went on TV without Obama to imply that this was all his idea.

What a shameful display of political one up manship. What a dishonest display of concern. What a despicable individual McCain has become. Worse than the slimiest politician of all time. I hope the rest of the media report this backstabbing and two faced move on the part of the Republican candidate. I shouldn't be surprised, but I honestly am.

Wow. What a thug.

What a clown. McCain goes to DC and scuttles the agreement, forces congress to stop working for a photo op at the WhiteHouse and says nothing, zero, nada. Then leaves before the work is done. Debate is still on, it took him all morning before he bothered to let anyone know he'd show up. What a absolute putz. I almost feel sorry for the Republican Party but hey are gettign exactly what they deserve for once. Anyone still think Palin is qualified? If you said yes, you haven't seen her latest interview. Golly gee, President Putin flies right over our state, so that's good foreign policy experience. Lord help us if these two idiots get into office.

I might. Sorry to offend you, I didn't know that you wore them. You might want to get that prostate checked out. It could be a growing problem and not just a going problem. It is hell getting old, isn't it?

Dude... I went to his website, I clicked on economy and I was hoping to find some "4-point" something-or-other but I all I could find was something I'm afraid I'd rather not wade through. Can you help me out a little? If it's easy to understand I was hoping it would be easy to find. Can you hook a brother up?? :-) Help me out, will ya? What's his 4 point plan?

Woops, McCain just stated on Ch. 7 with Charlie that the debate might take place. Sounds like that dementia again. Can't remember what he said, probably can't remember where he parked that car that he doesn't remember owning and, lets sure hope he didn't forget where he left those Depends.

Wow, what do you know. The early reports of the agreement reached between Republicans and Democrats sounds a lot like it encompasses everything a certain junior Senator from Illinois suggested last week. Oh boy, John McCain just made a huge mistake. Might as well drop out and put in Romney now.

Mc Cain takes 4 days to read a 3 page document a week after being in complete denial. He plays this political stunt 2 days before a scheduled debate. He threatened to fire someone he can't. His running mate, who he shields from the press, has re-defined the term "deer in the headlights." It is now "Palin in the headlights." And there are still some folks who insist on pot shots at Obama. Who has been talking about this crisis from the beginning, coming out with an outline of 4 specific points, easy to understand, should have bi-partisan support. Has agreed adding amendments would be inappropriate. Get off the guys back already. He's doing exactly what a Presidential candidate should do while McCain is acting like a fool.

PLEASE let McCain park Palin in Pennsylvania. She's electrified the right-wing-base for sure, but she's driving away the independents and Democrats. Can you send her to Ohio for a bit, too?
