From the "Right" side of life
A blog for those in pursuit of ALL the truth, ALL the facts, correct perspective, and frankly a place where one can get the side of events and issues that most media (and all liberals frankly) refuse to report.

Seems some folks here have called the false report of Obama being Muslim the "Swiftboating" of his campaign. The analogy is incorrect. "Swiftboating" refers to the ability of a 527 group taking down Sen.Kerry with exposing his true record of accounts and backing it up with facts and testimony of witnesses. Even today there is still the offer of a million dollars to the person who can bring forth evidence that disputes their claims. (no takers in years) Kerry btw has yet to actually sign a full release of his records and provide them.
The correct analogy would be Obama was "Rathergated." Some ridiculous spin and distortion of facts were spread around and the attempt to pass it off wasquickly crushed as incorrect.
This entire Obama event is an illustration of left wing media and liberals struggling with alternative sources of media not controlled by them and the monopoly of almost 7 decades comming to a screaming hault.
There will be more of both of these tactics in the general election, and I am anxious to see it!

No Problem Bill! While I have retired from active duty, I now serve an even more dangerous enemy now! The liberal biased free press, and those that stand behind them who in pursuit of their own agenda that is anything but putting America first, I fight the fight that active duty folks are not allowed to! I spent the late 80s and 90s in the sand all ready to tear the head off of guys like Clinton, Clarke, and even Powell! I was privleged to serve with Seal/SBU/MCT special warfare community where I was allowed to see the ugly truth that I know many libs acknowlege but wont publically because their agenda must come first!

Great again, Steve. As one still serving, on the way to Baghdad, I applaud your service. We both know that Kerry didn't fight the Swiftboat Vets because he knew the truth would come out. Wasn't it John Kerry who admitted to War Crimes in front of the U.S. Congress? The film shows a young Kerry stating (and I'm paraphrasing, here) that he personally witnessed the illegal killing of innocent civilians. As a military officer, it was his duty to report such crimes, or be guilty himself. Of course this the same guy who later accused American Soldiers of "terrorizing" innocent Iraqi women and children. And that was shortly before he called us "uneducated."

LOL! Lacking you say? Funny, because liberals smell ANYTHING that would hurt Bush will never let it slip by! Why libs even endanger our troops with their spin and propaganda in pursuit of Bush. No.. if there was more to it, it would be everywhere, you know it, and while you are free to remain in denial.. it just does not make you correct. I have a feeling that there are several folks in Alabama that served with him, but they likely told folks like MoveON and your Air America no. I've seen your excuses for evidence Bing Buddy, and its ridiculous!

That doesn't explain his absence! Speaking of an award, there's one for anyone who can remember serving with Bush in Alabama. None have come forward. You obviously haven't done much research on these topics, I've seen your evidence and it's lacking.

Never heard it before Bing because you never ask questions beyond the liberal agenda! 20 years of military service shows me! Don't take my word for it, go ask what a "twilight tour" is, or what happens to pilots that don't have enough time left to complete another full tour that costs thousands to retrain on! As for SBVets.. they stand behind their facts with cold hard cash my friend. Prove their facts wrong.. get a million bucks! Nobody has even tried! THATS! walkin the walk!

The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth don't have the facts on their side friend. Just because Kerry decided not to take the fight to them doesn't mean they were correct or he had something to hide. Try to stick to actual events not just theories. That's anew excuse for Bush there, where can I learn about it? Never heard that one before, seems if it really was the case he could have just stated that. Where can I learn about it?

Naw... that might be the liberal definition of it or say the defending talking point from such ridiculous places like Media Matters, but Rather ran with it, and yes Bush did get to leave the Guard early ALONG WITH EVERYONE ELSE THAT WAS TOO SHORT TO BE RETRAINED ON A NEW PLATFORM! THAT is the part liberals left out of it! Swiftboat guys however back their facts up and while Kerry hated and objected to them he NEVER DENIED their facts OR RELEASED his records! So Bing Buddy... aren't ya glad I'm here to help fill in all the blanks that you continue to overlook? Only for you there..... BUDDY!

Dan Rather was lazy in relying on alleged forged documents in a story about George W. Bush's lack of military service in the Texas National Guard. Rather was rightly criticized for it, however the secretary who was present at the time of Bush's service confirmed the information in the alleged forged documents was accurate. The swiftboating of John Kerry came from a group of men who never served with the man, save one or two, who gave inconsistent statements. There has been an aggressive and similar campaign to try and link Obama with Islam. Swiftboating has become synonymous with a slur or outright falsehood about a political candidate. My analogy is apt, yours is not.
