Pope revises 'limbo' for babies

VATICAN CITY -
Pope Benedict XVI has revised traditional Roman Catholic teaching on so-called "limbo," approving a church report released Friday that said there was reason to hope that babies who die without baptism can go to heaven.

Benedict approved the findings of the International Theological Commission, which issued its long-awaited document on limbo on Origins, the documentary service of Catholic News Service, the news agency of the American Bishop's Conference.

Catholics have long believed that children who die without being baptized are with original sin and thus excluded from heaven.

end quote.

I wish they would've decided this before So many precious innocent babies in so many countries, not baptized because they have their own religion, headed straight to heLL. Oh well, what can you do.

Centuries of Roman CathoLics preaching the concept of "Limbo" now comes to an end. In typical change-the-story-as-you-go fashion. Preaching that you must be baptised to get to heaven was good profits. It's kind of like going to a strip bar, where you HAVE to buy drinks to stay in. You HAVE to get baptized, and thus, you have to tip the Man. However, the church found itself at a staLe-mate. That is, not enough cash flow. Great effort has been put into recruiting cultures on the continents of Africa and Asia, to no avaLe. The concept of babies not going to heaven without being baptized turned them off. So now, in a pure for-profit move. The church says, "aahhh, shucks, never mind. Just forget about aLL that. We are now saying that Limbo isn't true." Come join us now! And don't forget to tip your server.

I believe that all babies and children who are not old enough to understand God's grace will be in heaven.

Good post Brian. If "God" is such a callous being, I'll join all the un-baptized souls in hell. I'll gladly join the homosexuals, unwed mothers, women who've had abortions and all the "immoral" and unfortunate souls who didn't convert in time to some schmuck with a pointy hat and a staff.
