Some clown sent me a copy of the Longmont Leader in a security envelope, hand wrote my name, mis spelled, and address and stuck a stamp on it. There was on ly one person foolish enough to attach their name to the paranoid and delusional rants therein. I won't name him because he might throw a fit. It isn't bad enough that I was bullied away from posting at yourhub by belligerent locals who don't comprehend what's appropriate. By sending me emails, threatening to put me on lists, posting my image and slandering my character on their blogs while trying desperately to remain anonymous themselves. I haven't posted anything for months nor gotten involved with local politics in the paper or here because I find some fellow residents of Longmont to be unhinged and possibly a danger to me. But somebody bothered to look up my address and send me a right wing scandal sheet regarding local politics and send me an an anonymous copy of said fish wrap.

If Imay point out the obvious, that may be legal, my name and address are in the phone book and on line. I've posted images of myself that aren't copyrighted and legally I probably can't sue someone succesfully for using it to slander me. But that doesn't mean a sane or civil person behaves that way! It's harassment even if it doesn't reach a legal threshhold. I felt it was important to let people know that there are people in our community willing to invade your personal space if they disagree with you. They have a network of blogs and a mean streak and they are not afriad to completely mis represent you, slander you and engage in mild forms of harassment. Don't try and do it to them. You might wind up on some list.
