Think You Want A Career In HR?

What:	In this two hour class we will cover: What is HR? What the various functions/disciplines within HR are and how they work. What education, experience and training does it take to get into HR? What do salary, benefits, and career growth look like? What does the future of HR look like? What local resources are available? (education, professional associations/organizations). What does a day in the life of an HR person look like for a generalist, for a function specialist, and for an HR manager? Mary Tinkcom holds a SPHR certification and is employed in Human Resources at Seagate. She has worked many different types of jobs and can now truly say she has found the work center of her life. She has served on numerous northern Colorado non-profit boards, and is currently on the board of LFU and Community Radio of Northern Colorado.
