What:	Are you a writer trapped in a non-writing job? Do you dream of the day when you can stay home, write and get paid for it? Congratulations, this workshop teaches you how to write and get paid for doing it. With the boom of the Internet, it's easy to stay home, type and get paid for your written words. Many people dream of writing for a living but very few think it's possible and even fewer still take the steps to do it. In our class we'll discuss how to write for local papers or magazines (or both!), how to write for online mediums and how to find the people who need writers. Join us as we uncover simple steps, tactics and effective methods to get started on the road to being a successful (and paid!) writer. Lara Kay Loest has been a paid writer since the age of 16. As she grew, the relationship between herself and language developed into a passionate embrace of journalism, marketing communications and copywriting. She has worked for several advertising agencies across the country, has taught classes about the English language and currently resides as a lead copywriter for a local retailing giant. In her free time, she writes for a renowned alternative health expert. Lara is also finishing her first book.
