Beginning Meditation

What:
Meditation is an ancient art in quieting the mind, resulting in increased calmness, clarity, and joy. Meditation can release stress from the body and mind, and improve mental and emotional health. Breathe, center, and relax from the busy-ness of your life. Relish this quiet space to simply breathe and be. In this class you will learn basic methods of meditation such as posture, concentration, breathing, visualization, and journaling. Class will include meditation, discussion, and reading materials.
Shawna Suzyn, M.A., is a yoga practitioner, dancer, and holistic counselor. She has been practicing yoga and meditation for 10 years. Shawna's meditation class teaches stress reduction, concentration, heart-centering and how to create inner peace in an anxious world. Shawna teaches these classes throughout Boulder and Longmont, privately, in recreation centers, health clubs and corporate settings.
Where: Longmont Free University, 505 Main St., Longmont
When: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
