Teen (outdoor) Rock CLimbing II

What:	The *City of Longmont Recreation Services* is offering Teen Rock I and Teen Rock II outdoor climbing courses. Rock I includes; traveling to a local climbing area in Estes Park and experience a basic four hour introduction to rock climbing. This course will familiarize you with the basic skills behind the sport. For example; knots, belaying, and communication and of course get you some quality time on the rock itself. Teen Rock II is the same as rock climbing I but, this four hour course involves increasing your knowledge with an introduction to top roping, top rope fixed anchors and gear anchors. Some of the other skills that will be covered are gear placement, equalization, rappelling, rope maintenance and a continuum of climbing knots. Both days, after climbing,we will break for lunch and complete the day swimming at Sunset Pool. All climbing gear, including shoes are provided. Meet at Centennial Pool. Sign up for both Rock I and Rock II at the same time for $160 and save.
