Balsman Photography to Celebrate Grand Opening
Longmont Chamber of Commerce to kick off the evening with a ribbon cutting ceremony
Longmont, CO, January 15, 2008: Kim Balsman, owner & chief photographer of Balsman Photography, moved her studio in December, 2007. Although the studio is open for business and continuing to accept appointments now,she will officially unveil her new location to the public on Friday, February 1 from 4-9PM. The Longmont Chamber of Commerce will kick off the celebration with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new studio.
Balsman Photography will give guests the first look at Kim's extensive collection of backdrops, props, and sets. Kim and her staff will give tours of all the new location's features, including the comfortably furnished waiting and projection rooms. Kim's portraiture will be on display for public viewing in the studio. Guests will be treated to popcorn, cake, and other treats. Kim will also hold drawings for several door prizes at the grand opening celebration. The door prizes include digital picture frames, cameras, an iPod, and gift certificates to rent an exotic or luxury car from her partner Altitude Dream Cars. Some of the cars will be parked outside the studio for the public to admire. Balsman Photography has an exclusive arrangement with Altitude Dream Cars, allowing only Kim's studio to photograph clients with the vehicles during portrait sessions.
Kim moved Balsman Photography to a turn-of-the-century Victorian in Longmont's historic central business district at 612 Kimbark Street. In the new location, she can now offer customers new capabilities and comforts.She added a large camera room with a track system for quick backdrop changes, a second camera room, a comfortable waiting area with a large screen television,and a fully stocked kitchen. In addition, outside sets are planned for construction in the spring, making the new location fully capable of any sort of portraiture Kim's clients may desire. Further, clients are invited to relax in recliners while viewing what Kim calls a Photo Premier. Clients take in their professionally retouched images theater-style in her new projection room complete with popcorn for the show. Once clients select their images, Kim is able to show the selected images in several frame choices on the projection screen, including a preview of exactly how the framed image will look in her clients' homes.
