You get what you vote for - Obama Tax Plan
Contributed by: Richard Yale on 7/14/2008

This is something you should be aware of so you don't get blind-sided.
With both houses controled by Democrats & the Presidency, this is the potential and it's really going to catch a lot

of families off guard if they take control without the two party checks & balances. With the Democrats' domination of the media It should
make you worry.

You can verify a lot of this here:

http://money.cnn.com/news/specials/election/2008/index.html

Of course, you may have noted that Obama's position appears to be changing, so you will have to pay attention to see what his latest approach is at buying votes.

CAPITAL GAINS TAX

MCCAIN
0% on home sales up to $500,000

per home (couples) McCain does not
propose any change in existing

home sales income tax.

OBAMA
28% on profit from ALL home sales

How does this affect you?

If you sell your home and make a profit, you
will pay 28% of your gain on taxes.

If you are heading toward retirement
and would like to down-size your

home or move into a retirement
community, 28% of the money you

make from your home will go to taxes. This
proposal will adversely affect the

elderly who are counting on the income
from their homes as part of their retirement income.

DIVIDEND TAX

MCCAIN 15% (no change)

OBAMA 39.6%

How will this affect you?

If you have any money invested in stock
market, IRA, mutual funds,

college funds, life insurance, retirement
accounts, or anything that pays

or reinvests dividends, you will now
be paying nearly 40% of the money

earned on taxes if Obama become president.

The experts predict that 'higher

tax rates on dividends and capital gains

would crash the stock market yet
do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.

INCOME TAX

MCCAIN (no changes)

Single making 30K - tax $4,500
Single making 50K - tax $12,500
Single making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 60K- tax $9,000
Married making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 125K - tax $31,250

OBAMA
(reversion to pre-Bush tax cuts)
Single making 30K - tax $8,400
Single making 50K - tax $14,000
Single making 75K - tax $23,250
Married making 60K - tax $16,800
Married making 75K - tax $21,000
Married making 125K - tax $38,750

Under Obama your taxes will

more than double!
How does this affect you? No explanation

needed. This is pretty
straight forward.

INHERITANCE TAX

MCCAIN 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)

OBAMA Restore the inheritance tax

How does this affect you? Many families

have lost businesses,
farms and ranches, and homes

that have

been in their families
for generations because they could not

afford the inheritance tax.
Those willing their assets to loved

ones will not only lose them to
these taxes.

NEW TAXES BEING PROPOSED BY OBAMA

* New government taxes proposed on

homes that are more than
2400 square feet

* New gasoline taxes (as if

gas weren't high enough already)

* New taxes on natural resources

consumption (heating
gas, water, electricity)

* New taxes on retirement accounts

and last but not least....

* New taxes to pay for socialized medicine

so we can receive the same
level of medical care as other

third-world countries!!!

Hi. I am the YourHub.com editor in the Denver metro area. I encourage you, Richard, Ralph, Kaye, Chris, Doug and all of our users, to stick to commenting on ideas and incidents rather than attacking each other personally. I appreciate our users posting under their real names, which takes courage and responsibility that we often don't see in comment areas on other sites.

ROFL, the coward runs away yet again, what is that like 5 times now? Not that he's reading this anymore (right) but his attack on who I said is there for anyone to see (unless he's deleted them, possible). But in reality, I bet he does exactly what he says he doesnt do, argues with total strangers who don't view the world through his narrow view. We all know the type, don't we? "YOU MUST LISTEN TO ME, ACKNOWLEDGE ME, NOW!" Again, sad, very sad, yet comical :)

Mr. Rodriguez, you've gone foamy again - I don't argue with street corner preachers or drunks in bars, and I certainly won't waste my time trying to have an honest debate with someone who continually puts false words in my mouth. Mr. Yale, fear not, Sir Chris will protect your frail frame from my bullying words, as he does the women. This community is indeed fortunate to have such a shepherd. I am outaheeeere.

Okay, I know it may be tough for someone who get's their kicks insulting women and the elderly, but what aren't you getting from my 3 posts? If you mean 'aim' as in who I'm targeting with my comments (speaking of inside jokes?) because I credit 1 Dem and rip another it makes your head spin or something? What don't you get about "almost entirely false" also means "partially true"? If you're going to be as ignorant to claim that only 1 party lies and smears, substitute NutraSweet for the sugar, pal. (Koolaid reference, if that's too cryptic).

FactCheck is controversial, not an icon of truth. I am talking about the whole of an Obama Presidency, unless he is a dictator; a Democratic Party Congress comes with him in partnership. Obama’s Democratic Party handlers have carefully kept him from being tied to specific words so he always has deniability. So what if the end result is higher taxes to pay for their egregious spending and giving away that is the gist of the lie the Democratic Party spokespersons are hiding. The string of ad hominem attacks is a shell game to deflect attention from the unchanging goal of the whole Democrats Party strategy per se. Bleed the taxpayers to pay for their big government programs. Its the whole tax scheme liberals are selling is to support Government that gives every American what they need and takes from every American what they are able to give Government, that is the heart and soul of the Democratic Party, i.e. socialism. That is the truth Democrats no longer even try to deny.

It is gratifying to see you acknowledge that FactCheck is credible and not a partisan tool, Mr. Rodriguez, well done. As for your other comments ... well, your aim does tend to drift, and I can't really tell what you're saying a lot of the time. It's like there's a whole bunch of inside jokes you expect us to get. But I'm going to stay on target: my core argument stands - Mr. Yale pasted a pack of lies into this posting. ("almost entirely false" and "grossly misleading" are the same as "true" for you? is that really where you want to make your stand?) At this point lies and smears are all the GOP has left. But apparently that's enough to win some hearts and (I'll be charitable) minds.

Then again, wait a month or so, and Obama will back down from that 'promise' like FISA, etc, which I hope he does. I think the reality of what it takes to be a president, beyond throwing out red meat to the koolaid drinkers (yes, mixed metaphor), is starting to sink in with ol' Barry, notice the drift? Comon, you have to see it, even the usual tunnelvisioned amongst you can't miss it. I didnt think he could blow it, but he's well on his way to doing exactly that. And any way you slice it, you let a tax cut expire, it's a tax increase. Just ask the CO Supreme Court and Ritter.

The whole Social Security portion was left out, here, how about this from MSNBC: "But during an interview on NBC's "Meet the Press," Obama said subjecting more of a person's income to the payroll tax is the option he would push for if elected president." Here's where Clinton was right (from FACTCHECK!): "I do not want to fix the problems of Social Security on the backs of middle class families and seniors. (Applause.) If you lift the cap completely, that is a $1 trillion tax increase." Go ahead, debunk that.

So your Factcheck is to be taken at face value because Luskin's not good enough for you? But MoveOn and MediaMatters can do no wrong, right? Well, that FactCheck article says it's "ALMOST entirely false", and I love how it says "Two claims in this message, WHILE NOT COMPLETELY FALSE, are still grossly misleading."(OPINION)then gives the two examples. So they admit 2 of these proposals are true. This chainmail or however it started is also at Free Republic, never been there, but it must be wrong if you don't like it.
