Old Firehouse Art Center in Longmont, Colorado is now accepting exhibition proposals for our
Exhibition Season. Artists in all mediums are encouraged to apply. Interested artists should please read the following guidelines carefully and mail:
1. An artist statement, resume, and a description (2 pages max.) of exhibition being proposed. Please use plain white copy paper so we can copy them clearly. Don't forget to include somewhere in your materials ALL of your contact information such as address, phone, web site and email address.
2. 10 slides (per artist). The slides must be labeled (not with adhesive stickers) with the artist name, title, and a mark indicating the top of the slide.
3. A numbered slide list to correspond with the slides. The numbered slide list must include the artist name, title, medium, date the work was completed, price and dimensions (W x H x D).
The addition of relevant support materials, such as newspaper articles or other printed matter is optional. Please do not use staples or binders when organizing individual submissions. Group proposals in binders are fine.

"slide" is used. We do not accept submissions on CD or via email.
INCOMPLETE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
Please send submissions to PO Box 783, Longmont, CO 80502-0783 with a return envelope large enough, and with enough return postage so we may return your materials. Please do not mail submissions to our physical address, and don't feel then need to send via any expensive quick-delivery methods.
Deadline for proposals is January 31. This is an annual deadline. Old Firehouse Art Center is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Please don't panic, it is not a "blockout deadline". Please allow 4-6 weeks for notification. Proposals are considered for the Season schedule for the following year (i.e. proposals submitted in 2007 will be considered for the 2008 Season schedule).The programming committee developed the following criteria for considering exhibition proposals. The following criteria are based on broad generalizations and goals, which relate to the Firehouse Art Center's mission to be the visual arts center serving the St. Vrain Valley. These criteria allow the artist/collector/group/organization to determine the appropriateness of the exhibit in meeting this mission. Any exhibit that the committee develops will be done so with these criteria in mind.Criteria for ExhibitionsEach exhibit must meet a majority of the following criteria to be eligible for a show at the Old Firehouse Art Center.
° The exhibit promotes area artists both professional and emerging.
° The exhibit provides a unique and diverse art experience for the community.
° The exhibit has potential to attract a regional audience that ultimately expands OFAC's audience base and increases awareness of the Art Center.
° The exhibit meets OFAC's expectations based both on artistic excellence and the material's relationship to the audience of Longmont and Boulder County, that audience being:
1. Adults 2. Families / Children 3. Seniors
° The exhibit appropriately uses the gallery space.
