Best Nutcracker Ever
Contributed by: Jamie Johnson on 11/28/2007

Boulder Ballet ushered in its 25th Anniversary season in style. The first shows of the season, The Nutcracker, brought about record numbers. Not only was this the best-attended Nutcracker ever, but a new and improved one as well. The role of Drosselmeyer was played by Peter Davison. Drawing from his years of experience as an international multi-disciplinary artist, Mr. Davison added a magician's touch and a juggler's tricks to the classic choreography. Children of all ages and the young of heart enjoyed the show. There was the innocence of the party children as they delight in their Christmas gifts, the intensity of the battle and the grace of the Sugar Plum Fairy. There is still a chance to catch Boulder Ballet's Nutcracker. They will be performing this weekend with the Longmont Symphony Orchestra at the Vance Brand Auditorium. Tickets are available by calling the LSO box office at (303) 772-5796. Catch the show December 1 at 4 pm or December 2 at 2 pm. See you there!
