Forget the talking Santas, fancy twinkling lights, and elaborately decorated shopping malls, and step back into a simpler time at the second annual Old-Fashioned Holiday at Sandstone Ranch, Saturday, December 17,

Leave your car in the parking lot and enter the 1880s by way of horse-drawn wagon. A variety of activities and entertainment will be featured at the 1880s Morse Coffin homestead, now the
Sandstone
Ranch
Visitor
Center
. Meet Morse and Julia Coffin, portrayed by volunteers at
1:15
and
1:45 pm
. Storyteller Dan Overholser will enchant audiences young and old with his holiday stories from the 19th century at
2:15 pm
. A recorder quartet will perform holiday music selections from the late 1800s at
3:15 pm
.
Holiday
music, goodies, and hands-on crafts and decorations will be offered throughout the event.
There is no admission to the event, but donations will be accepted. Visitors may also bring non-perishable food items, new socks or underwear (adult or children). These items will be donated to OUR Center in
Longmont
to help everyone have a warmer holiday season.

, go east on Hwy. 119, one mile east of Weld County Road 1. Take the second entrance to the Sandstone Ranch complex (by the Chevrolet dealer), turning south on
Sandstone Drive
. Follow the signs to the
