A total of 77 student-athletes from Colorado State University were named to the spring 2006 All-Mountain West Conference team. To be eligible for selection student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
Track and Field led the way for the Rams with the women earning 25 selections and the men adding 20. Swimming and Diving earned 12 selections, followed by six from the softball team, four from women's basketball and three each from women's golf and tennis. Rounding out the list were the men's basketball team and men's golf team with two players selected.
Marilyn Moulton
, a former student at Longmont H.S., was selected from the women's basketball team. She scored a career high of 11 points against Iona this season. Marilyn is the only daughter of Jim and Dabney Moulton.
David Eischeid
, who also attended Longmont HS, was selected from the men's track and field team, where he participated in sprints and jumping events.
Kyle Keeler
, another athlete from Longmont HS, was also on the men's track and field team. His event was the hurdles, where he placed in the top 5 in every meet he participated in.
