Local students were among the 2,174 students who received degrees Dec. 16 during spring commencement ceremonies on the University of Colorado at Boulder campus.

Other outstanding graduates named by the schools and colleges for the winter 2005 commencement were Laura O'Connor of Boulder, College of Architecture and Planning, bachelor's degree in design; Jolie Breeden of Longmont, School of Journalism and Mass Communication, bachelor's degree in news-editorial; Andrew Halladay of Denver, College of Music, bachelor's degree in music; and Pernilla Lindgren of Boulder, bachelor's degree in architectural engineering.
