RV America, Inc., celebrates three years by sending guitars to the troops serving in Iraq.
RV America, Inc, of Loveland is helping the morale of our troops overseas with the gift of music. Hari Sach, owner and president of RV America will host a free pops concert that will be the focal point of a "guitar drive" to secure donated guitars, harmonicas and other acoustical instruments to send to our service men and women overseas. These events are part of his three year anniversary celebration of the opening of the largest RV Showroom in the world.
"This is a way for us to give back to our community and support our military people in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other places around the world." Says Mr. Sach.
Directed by Tom Jensen of the Junior Symphony Guild and his 30- piece professional orchestra, guests will enjoy performances of the classics of Beethoven and Tchaikowsky as well as movie music from hits like "The Incredibles" and "The Polar Express". The concert will take place inside the RV America showroom in Loveland, on Saturday, May 5 at 2 PM and is free. No tickets are required. The RV America showroom is located at Exit 254 on I-25, just 35 minutes north of Denver.
Mr. Jensen's approach to music for over 20 years includes unusual venues, such as rodeo arenas, parks and supermarkets, while seating guests among the orchestra players. "We put the audience inside the orchestra, surrounding them with music!" stated Mr. Jensen. "It's a unique way to introduce children and grown-ups to great music."
This concert's double purpose, a free family pops concert and troop guitar drive, makes it a "can't miss event" in Northern Colorado.
The healing power of music is well known, and coupled with the creative outlet of playing a guitar or harmonica, the positive impact on the soldiers in stress-filled deployments can't be measured.
Everyone who attends is invited to bring a guitar to donate or make a financial donation that the Denver Musicians Association can use to buy instruments and ship overseas.
