Contributed by: Jeff Thomas on 10/4/2005

Thomas Weisel Partners LLC and Stonehouse Construction have joined together to sponsor a golf tournament benefiting the victims of Hurricane Katrina on Oct. 14 at Lake Valley Golf Course.  The Boulder County Katrina Fund, a registered 501(c)(3), will donate the net proceeds from the tournament to the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund.
This tragedy has had a catastrophic effect on the residents of the Gulf Coast Region," said Matt Rich of Thomas Weisel Partners.  The Boulder County Katrina Fund was established to raise money to support the short and long term needs of the people in that community. Our hearts go out to everyone who was affected."
The outpouring of support from the local community has been incredible.  Sponsors of the tournament include: Whole Foods Market, Four Star Realty, The Walnut Cafe, Competitive Mortgage, Rich & Suzie Geise, The Heartland Companies, and TAB Boards.
The entry fee for the tournament is $150.00 and individuals/companies can sponsor a hole for $1,000.00.
The tournament begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes with a lunch and cocktail reception in the early afternoon.
