Bullets and a bottle of urine
A 25-year-old Platteville man was arrested at 6:36 p.m. April 28 at the intersection of 17 th Avenue and Lashley Street on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia, leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence and careless driving. Officers responded to a call of a hit and run. Witnesses gave police a description of the car and eventually found the man. When the officer initially contacted the man at a red light, the man looked in his rear-view mirror at the officer, shook his head and kept going. Eventually, the man stopped. Upon searching him, the officer found a bottle of urine taped to his leg and loose .22-caliber bullets on the car's floor. The man blew a .148 BAC on a Breathalyzer test and was held at the Boulder County Jail.

Man changes $175 to $975 on check
A 19-year-old Longmont man was arrested at 2:25 p.m. April 25 at St. Vrain Valley Credit Union, 777 21 st Ave. on suspicion of forgery and criminal impersonation. Officers were called to the bank on a report of a forgery in progress. When they arrived, the teller told officers that the man was trying to open an account with a forged check and had come back two times to attempt it. The check had appeared to be altered from $175 to $975 with a forged signature. The man told police the check belonged to his friend, who owed him money for house repair. He was held at the Boulder County Jail.

Man understands English, doesn't speak it
A 27-year-old Longmont man was arrested at 1:50 a.m. April 26 at the intersection of Third Avenue and Ken Pratt Boulevard on suspicion of driving under the influence, resisting arrest and driving without a drier's license. A concerned motorist called in a tip on a drunk driver in the area. When the officer reached the area, they saw the man swerving all over the road. The officer tried to stop the man at the intersection of Weld County Road 1 and Colorado 119, but the man kept driving and swerving. Finally, the man stopped. The officer told the man in English to turn off the car and hand him the keys, which he did. He then told the officer he didn't speak English. A witness told officers that he witnessed the man swerving and driving slowly on Interstate 25 and Colorado 119. When the officer attempted to arrest the man, he started yelling at him and resisted. The man was taken to the Longmont Police Department, but after trying to kick the officer and get away, the man was taken to the Boulder County Jail.

Woman hits boyfriend, taken to jail
A 22-year-old Arvada woman was arrested at 5:43 p.m. April 28 on the 0-99 block of Mobil Street on suspicion of harassment and domestic violence. Officers were called to the residence on a disturbance. The woman told officers that she was trying to get her stuff out of the house, where her boyfriend lived. The man told officers that on April 26, they were at a friend's house when the woman hit him in the face. She was held at the Boulder County Jail.

Berthoud man arrested for meth
A 34-year-old Berthoud man was arrested at 5:29 p.m. April 24 at the intersection of Harvest Street and Kylie Drive on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. An officer on patrol saw the man driving and, knowing he had a warrant for his arrest, pulled him over. When the officer searched the man he found a stack of 100-dollar bills and 10 grams of methamphetamine on him. He was held at the Boulder County Jail.
