Longmont police seeking armed robbery suspect

Longmont police are searching for a armed robbery suspect who confronted a 27-year-old woman leaving her apartment on the 1400 block of Emery Street about 12:54 p.m. Sept. 15.

The woman told police she passed the suspect as he approached the entrance, and she stopped to tell the suspect that her neighbors were not home, according to a press release from the Longmont Police Department. As she stopped and turned the suspect grabbed her by the hair, pointed a silver handgun into her stomach and demanded all her money.

The woman told police she produced her wallet, and the suspect removed all the money and ran north from the area. Patrol officers and detectives from the Longmont Police Department, as well as deputies from the Boulder County Sheriff's Department, responded to the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 6 feet tall, 180 to 190 pounds with a goatee and a tattoo of a lizard on his left forearm. The suspect was armed with a handgun and last seen wearing blue jeans and a black T-shirt.
