COUPLE WITH SAME FIRST NAME FIGHT OVER PAN
A 41-year-old Longmont woman was arrested at 7:38 a.m. May 7 on the 700 block of Eighth Avenue on suspicion of domestic violence, third-degree assault and resisting arrest. Officers were dispatched to a residence on a domestic violence call, the second time they had visited the home in as many days. When they contacted the woman, she was visibly drunk and laying on her bed in her bedroom. She told the officers that her and boyfriend, who shared the same first name, had been fighting over which pan to use to make Hamburger Helper in. During the altercation, the woman allegedly spit in the man's face on accident. The man told officers that the woman had hit him because he wouldn't take her to buy cigarettes. When they attempted to arrest the woman, she began to hold on to the bedpost and kick. The officers then Tazered her and began to fake a seizure. She was held at the Boulder County Jail.
MAN RUNS FROM OFFICERS, WANTED TO SEE BABY BORN
A 23-year-old Longmont man was arrested at 5:17 p.m. May 7 on the 800 block of Mt. Evans Street on suspicion of identity theft, driving while driver's license is under restraint, reckless driving, a failure to appear warrant out of Broomfield county for unlawful sexual contact with a minor, second-degree assault, resisting arrest and eluding police. Officers on a surveillance operation contacted a man at his work. The man ran to his car upon contact and drove off quickly, partially hitting an officer with his car. Officers followed the man, but lost him in a neighborhood but eventually traced him to a residence. Upon searching the house, they found the man in a back bedroom. The man told police that he ran because he wanted to see his baby be born. He was held at the Boulder County Jail.
MAN THROWS MONITOR OFF BALCONY
A 23-year-old Longmont man was arrested at 10:36 p.m. May 6 on the 600 block of Lashley Street on suspicion of obstructing an emergency phone call, violating a protection order and domestic violence. Officers responded to a domestic violence call. When they arrived, a woman told police that when she got home from work, the man was asleep and had not done the dishes that she asked him to do that morning. This started a verbal altercation between the couple that ended in the man throwing a computer monitor off their balcony. When the woman called police, the man pulled the phone wire out of the wall. Upon investigation, it was discovered that both parties had protection orders against each other. He was held at the Boulder County Jail.
YOU BROKE MY FENCE -THEMS FIGHTIN' WORDS
A 34-year-old Longmont man was arrested at 7:10 p.m. May 4 on the 2300 block of Grant Street on suspicion of menacing and vandalism. Officers were called to a fight. When they arrived, the found the man bleeding in the front yard of the residence. The man told officers that he and a friend were playing football in the front yard when he accidentally crashed into his neighbor's fence. The man and the neighbor then got into a fight and the man told the neighbor that he was going to kill him. The man was booked at the Longmont Police Department and released with a summons.
MAN HITS KID IN KINGS, IS ARRESTED
A 35-year-old Longmont man was arrested at 4:44 p.m. May 6 at King Soopers, 995 Hover St., on suspicion of child abuse. Officers responded to the grocery store, where witnesses told them they witnessed the man punch his child in the stomach after the child spilled some food on the ground. The child told officers that his dad did hit him and sported a bruise on his stomach. The man admitted to punching the child, but said he was just trying to stop the child from running after spilling the food in the aisle. The man was booked at the police department and released on a summons.
