IT'S OKAY, OFFICER
A 42-year-old Longmont woman was arrested at 8:26 p.m. June 10 on the 400 block of Newman Court on suspicion of driving under the influence, careless driving and disregarding a traffic control device. An officer was dispatched on a Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately call. When he arrived, he found the woman sitting in her parked car. The woman stepped out of the vehicle very slowly and told the officer that she had hit another car and exchanged insurance information with the other person. The woman also told the officer that it was "okay" because she had arrived where she needed to be and was going inside. The woman had to be restrained from entering the residence and was handcuffed. She later blew a 0.194 BAC on a Breathalyzer test and was transported to the Alcohol Recovery Center, and issued a summons.
YOU DON'T LOVE ME
A 55-year-old Longmont man was arrested at 2:30 a.m. June 7 on the 0-99 block of Cedar Court on suspicion of third-degree assault and domestic violence. An officer was dispatched to Longmont United Hospital, 1950 Mountain View Ave., in reference to a woman who was being treated there. The woman told the officer that she was lying in bed with the man when he told her "you don't love me." The man, who had reportedly been drinking, then told the woman, "I hate your (expletive) dog," and punched the wall. The woman fled to the bathroom, where the man forced his way in and punched her in the face. The woman's daughter corroborated the story. The man was contacted at the residence when he said that he was only trying to open the door and accidentally punched her. He was held at the Boulder County Jail.
WOMAN SMOKES POT WITH 2-YEAR-OLD AROUND
A 19-year-old Longmont woman was arrested at 9:53 p.m. June 5 on the 1200 block of Kimbark Street on suspicion of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. An officer was called to the apartment on a loud music complaint. Before he knocked on the door, the officer believed he smelled the aroma of burning marijuana. When he knocked on the door, the woman answered and a large billow of smoke followed her. Inside, the officer contacted two men and a 2-year-old boy. The officer told the woman about the dangers of smoking marijuana with a child around. The officer found a pipe, a bong and a plastic bag with suspected marijuana inside. The woman was booked and released with a summons.
BOY ARRESTED FOR HARASSMENT
A 17-year-old Longmont boy was arrested at 2:14 p.m. June 6 on the 1800 block of Francis Street on suspicion of domestic violence, harassment and reckless endangerment. While pulling up to the residence, the officer saw the boy leave the scene in a car. The officer stopped the boy, who told him that his ex-girlfriend had invited him over. The woman told police that she was dating someone else and the boy was sending her threatening text messages and calling her repeatedly. The woman also complained that the boy tried to run over her boyfriend with his truck. The boy was held at the juvenile detention facility.
HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY
A 28-year-old Longmont man was arrested at 10 a.m. June 6 on the 1300 block of Coffman Street on suspicion of violating his terms of probation, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and displaying fictitious plates. An officer was on patrol when he stopped the man for having a brake light out. The man told the officer that he didn't have a driver's license and that he had received a ticket from an officer the day before. He also told the officer that he took his uncle's license plate and had marijuana in the car. He was held at the Boulder County Jail.
