WOMAN CALLS POLICE WHEN HIGH
A 20-year-old Longmont woman was arrested on suspicion of more than 1 gram of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia at 3 a.m. Sept. 3 on the 600 block of Grandview Meadows Drive. Police were dispatched when a woman called and said she was being held against her will and was possibly going to be killed. When police arrived, the woman's sister said the woman often does drugs and calls police to get help when she is "high." She said her sister most likely made up the story. When police contacted the woman, she appeared to be on narcotics. Police found three syringes in her purse and .7 grams of a white crystal substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. The woman said she had done cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine recently. She was taken to Longmont United Hospital and then to Boulder County Jail.

HIT AND RUN
A 22-year-old Longmont man was arrested at 1:39 a.m. Aug. 31 at the Ken Pratt Boulevard and Pratt Parkway intersection on suspicion of leaving an accident scene after damaging another vehicle, careless driving, driving under the influence, possession of not more than 1 ounce of marijuana and other charges. Police witnessed the hit and run and stopped the man's vehicle. The man smelled like alcohol and was possibly under the influence of drugs. The man failed roadside maneuvers and later he blew a .136 on a breathalyzer test. Police also found 4.3 grams of marijuana in the man's truck. He was taken to Boulder County Jail.

MAN TAKES VICODIN; TRIES TO USE CHAINSAW
A 23-year-old Longmont man was arrested at 9:42 p.m. Aug. 20 on the 0-100 block of East Fifth Avenue on suspicion of robbery, two counts of criminal mischief, menacing with a real/perceived real deadly weapon, false imprisonment, domestic violence and harassment. Police were dispatched on a disturbance call when a man came home to find his son out of control and his house in shambles. The son demanded his dad give him Vicodin and later tried to start a chainsaw. The son's girlfriend said earlier that evening, the two were breaking up when the man demanded his girlfriend give him her cell phone. When she tried to get it back, he shrugged her off sending her stumbling back into a glass panel that broke. He then proceeded to punch the door, breaking it, and threaten his grandfather. He was taken to Boulder County Jail.

MAN SAID HE MADE CELL PHONE LOOK LIKE GUN
A 24-year-old man was arrested at 8:07 p.m. Aug. 30 at Grant Avenue and South Main Street on suspicion of menacing, possession of less than one gram of cocaine and driving with a revoked driver's license. Two men reported they were driving and stopped at a traffic light at Third Avenue and Kimbark Street. A black Jaguar pulled up and the men pointed at the car, admiring it. They said the man in the jaguar pointed a gun at them and then one of the men said he saw the man shoot the gun out the passenger side window over the top of the truck. The man was located in the jaguar later. The man said he pointed his cell phone at the men in a way that made it look like a real gun because he said the men were laughing at him. No gun was found, nor was a bullet case where the man reportedly fired the gun. A white powdery residue that tested positive for cocaine was found in the man's car. The man was taken to Boulder County Jail.

MAN DRAGS WOMAN BY HAIR
A 27-year-old Longmont man was arrested at 10:27 p.m. Aug. 30 at Ninth Avenue and Mainstreet on suspicion of third-degree assault, criminal mischief and a domestic incident. The incident occurred after a woman told her fiancé she and a friend were going to walk to the liquor store. Her fiancé didn't want her to go, but she went anyway. The man came running out into the intersection telling her to come home. He grabbed his fiancé by the hair and dragged her up the street. He was taken to Boulder County Jail.
