MAN GETS PEDICURE, DUI

Police were dispatched to an unwanted person at the cosmetology school at 1240 Ken Pratt Blvd. The man was stopped in a truck nearby. The man said he had just come from the school where his daughter gave him a pedicure. His eyes were bloodshot and glassy and he smelled like alcohol. There was a cooler with beer and several empty beer cans in the bed of his truck. He failed roadside maneuvers. On the way to the Longmont Police Department, he spit in the back of the patrol car. At the station, he told the officer, "If you don't assault me, I'm going to assault you." He blew a .097 on a Breathalyzer test and was released to a sober party.

An 18-year-old Longmont man was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a police officer and possession of less than 10 ounces of marijuana at 2:58 p.m. Oct. 10. An officer was on patrol on his car on the 1200 block of Alpine Street when he saw a group of males. One of the males started running and then stopped. The officer continued to observe the man who was clearly attempting to prevent the officer from getting close. When he called the man to stop, the man took off running, striping off his sweatshirt in an apparent attempt to change his clothes description. He was caught climbing over a wall near Centennial Swimming Pool. The man had 3.2 grams of marijuana. He was taken to Longmont Police Department and released on a municipal summons.

BEER CANS SCATTED IN CAR
An 18-year-old man was arrested at 1:52 a.m. Oct. 11 at the intersection of East Longs Peak Avenue and Lashley Street on suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of not more than one ounce of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, an open alcoholic beverage and driving without a driver's license. The arrestee was pulled over because the stickers on his license plate weren't in the correct spots. There were open beer cans scattered in the car and two plastic baggies of a white powdery substance in plain view in the car and 5.6 grams of marijuana. The driver did not seem impaired. His cousin, a 15-year-old passenger, did seem impaired. The 15-year-old said he had one or two beers and a few hits of marijuana. He was issued a municipal summons on suspicion of underage consumption of alcohol and using marijuana. The 18-year-old was taken to Boulder County Jail.

A man and woman had gotten into a fight at a bar and continued fighting when they returned home. She bit him on the nipple and threw a picture frame with his daughter's picture in it at him. She said she had been the aggressor in the situation. She was taken to the Longmont Police Department for booking and then transported to the Boulder County Jail.

MAN CHANGES IDENTITY ON PHONE
A 42-year-old Longmont man was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, criminal mischief and harassment at 5:50 p.m. Oct. 9 on the 200 block of Main Street. Police were dispatched Oct. 7 to the 800 block of Summerhawk Drive on a possible assault involving a juvenile male and an adult male. When police arrived they learned that the juvenile and his mother were at home when the women's boyfriend came home. The boyfriend began packing his things and calling his girlfriend names. He threw a TV, breaking it. When the woman's son got in the middle of the two, the man grabbed him by the neck. The mother and son reported that the boyfriend was drunk. The boyfriend left before police arrived. While police were doing interviews, the man called his girlfriend. When police got on the phone with him, he changed his identity and kept calling back as different people, including pretending to be his girlfriend. After police left the woman called to report her son's cell phone was missing. She received several bizarre text messages from it over the next 48 days, including, "U have decided 2 kill another black widow! Cop Caller." The man was arrested later and taken to Boulder County Jail.
