Longmont Police

MAN WANTS TO HAVE SEX WITH A 6-YEAR-OLD
A 30-year-old Longmont man was arrested at 3:52 p.m. April 16 on suspicion of criminal attempt, sex assault and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on the 1400 block of Dry Creek Drive. Detectives were waiting for the man in a hotel room after it was discovered he had been having frequent online chats with a Colorado Springs woman explicitly describing how he wanted to have sex with the woman and her 6-year-old child. During the chat, the woman had agreed to meet the man at a Longmont hotel with her daughter. When the man entered the hotel room, he was taken into custody. Two condoms, an extra pair of underwear and 14.7 grams of suspected marijuana were found on him. He told a detective he liked kids way more than the detective did. He was taken to Boulder County Jail.

MAN SAYS DON'T TAKE 'RAINY DAY STASH'
A 19-year-old Longmont man was arrested at 4:11 a.m. April 19 on the 1700 block of Twin Sisters Drive on suspicion of among other counts, five counts of first-degree criminal trespass on a vehicle, reckless endangerment, marijuana possession and an outstanding warrant. Police were dispatched to the 0-99 block of 19th Avenue on a report that a man was unlawfully entering vehicles and fled in a gold Chevy Blazer. Witnesses reported the man entered at least two unlocked vehicles and almost hit a mother and daughter as he sped off. One of the witnesses threw rocks at the vehicle, hitting the driver's side, as he drove away. The vehicle was later located at the man's house and identified by a witness. There were marks on the car consistent with rocks being thrown at it. The man was contacted by police. He originally denied the accusations, but later said he had entered several vehicles in the area with another male. A digital camera, GPS system, two car stereos and a Game Boy were located in the Blazer, which belonged to his mother. The man said he stole a solar panel and a keyboard, too. 11.2 grams of suspected marijuana, a digital scale and plastic baggies also were found in the vehicle. Suspected marijuana and a black hooded sweatshirt, which matched the description of the suspect's clothes, were found in the man's room. He told police while laughing, "Please don't take my weed. That's my rainy day stash." He was taken to the Longmont Police Department and then to Boulder County Jail.
