Man threatens to cut of girlfriend's gas lines
A 25-year-old Longmont man was arrested at 11:02 p.m. May 27 after allegedly threatening to cut off his girlfriend's gas lines on her vehicle on the 3200 block of Lake Park Way. The man's girlfriend reported the man was using a steak knife to attempt to cut the gas lines to her vehicle. The man was upset his girlfriend wouldn't let him borrow her car to go on a fishing trip. The man said he crawled under her car but didn't actually try to cut her gas lines, just threatened to. When showing police how he crawled under the vehicle, he told one officer, "You should probably crawl underneath (the car) because I don't think your partner's belly would fit." The man was taken into custody on suspicion of second-degree criminal tampering and domestic violence. He was transported to Boulder County Jail.

Man eludes cops for six months
A 29-year-old Boulder man was arrested May 26 on the 3200 block of Airport Road after allegedly running from police six months earlier. Police had tried to pull over the man for speeding, but instead of pulling over, the man stopped his car and ran over the footbridge at Kensingston Park and got away. Alcohol was later found in the man's vehicle. When the man was later located, he was arrested on suspicion of attempting to elude police, driving with a revoked driver's license as a habitual offender and obstruction of emergency/rescue personnel. The man was taken into custody and transported to Boulder County Jail.

Instead of 'Keep out' sign, man uses knives
A 24-year-old Longmont man was arrested at 3:19 a.m. May 26 for allegedly using knives to lock his wife out of their residence on the 2200 block of Pratt Street. The reporting party called police because her husband kicked her out and she was sick of him yelling at her and berating her. When the woman returned to the residence with police, the husband had used several metal kitchen knives to jam the doorframe and lock her out. The husband, who appeared intoxicated, said his wife was always nagging him about drinking and smoking. Police diffused the situation. The wife agreed to sleep on an air mattress for the night and the husband agreed to leave her alone. A short time later police were called back because the husband had thrown a knife at the air mattress and punctured it. He was taken into custody on suspicion of domestic violence, menacing, harassment and criminal mischief. He was transported to Boulder County Jail.

Woman arrested for breaking cup on husband
A 45-year-old Longmont woman was arrested May 26 after allegedly hitting her husband over the head with a porcelain cup on the 1400 block of Townley Circle. The reporting party said his wife was upset about money. Fearing she might use money he had hidden on alcohol, he left the room to get it. She followed him and hit him over the head with a porcelain cup. He said he tried to call police, but she wrestled the phone away. The man was bleeding and had three small cuts when police arrived. The woman had an abrasion on her arm. She said her husband hit her, but her story seemed less plausible than his. Police later noticed several long scratches on her neck that weren't there when she arrived. There were portions of time where she was left alone and they suspected she scratched herself. They asked to see her fingernails, which were trimmed short, but they hadn't seen her nails when they arrived. She was taken into custody on suspicion of suspicion of two counts of second-degree assault and two counts of domestic violence. She was transported to Boulder County Jail.
