Longmont GOP Women Expose Media Outrage!
Contributed by: Ralph Dosser on 7/5/2008

You may never have heard of " Right for Longmont" - it's a blog run by the Longmont Republican Women. Technically it's a blog, I guess, but it ony sees a new post about every 2-3 weeks, and every post on the site (dating back to March 17) has a dismal "0 comments." Ride the wave, GOP women!

The site contains about what you'd expect: GOP talking point pap, retreaded slanders about that awful negro running for president, and the occasional item so uncoupled from reality they'd have difficulty believing it in Salt Lake City.

The latest effort is a turn of the victim card. Poor endangered GOP candidate Marilyn Musgrave (defending her 4th district house seat) is getting some really rough handling at the hands of the local press. How rough? Well, I'll let author

"The Times-Call ran a nice photo of Musgrave on the front page of Thursday's edition. The photo, a nice image, took 6 inches of newspaper space (2 columns x 3 inches= 6 column inches.)

Musgrave's opponent came to Prospect on Wednesday, as if on cue, and her photo occupied 27.75 inches of space (3 columns x 9.25 inches = 27.75 column inches). It is an overhead shot and the candidate's image is so small that we would find it hard to pick her out of a police lineup but there is a lot of space around her in the photo, which is above the the fold on the front page.

Musgrave's photo is positioned below the fold in the bottom half of the front page and would be easy to miss while the non-photo dominates the page."

And so on... One can't help but picture

HAHAHA, you're 'outta here'? This is YOUR post. I'm used to you running away from one of Yale's posts, but this is YOURS! Rage? Man, you don't know sarcasm when you see it. You just don't like to back up the claims you made above, and still haven't.

Dude, you seriously need to deal with your rage issues. Your projection's getting worse, too. Here's a tip: wait a few minutes between typing and hitting "submit" - walk away from the computer until you calm down, then come back and re-read. If it still sounds sane, THEN post. As for me, I am outtaheeeeere....

You got the 'foolishly assumed' part right. Just because people you agree with are hateful, the rest of the world must be, too, is that it? I get it, t*t for tat, very adult - except of course you still haven't pointed to a single instance on their site the nonsense you posted above. But since those you agree with are (supposedly) threatened with death - you must at the very least misconstrue the other side to even things out. Thank God we have such a great equalizer, doling out justice, a one man GOP WOMEN'S GROUP wrecking crew. Too many cooties fer ya? Or did girls beat you up in your younger days. Share with the group.....

Oh, now you see I clearly got confused. Liberal women bloggers are routinely threatened with death and sexual assault, yet choose to express their opinions online anyway. I foolishly assumed conservative women bloggers were made of the same stuff, and could handle some (let's face it) pretty mild criticism. But apparently they're more delicate than that, and need the protection of chivalrous men like Chris Rodriguez. I'll go to that site and post an apology comment at once!

Shhh Dave, it provides endless fodder and comic relief, and they think they're relevant and taken seriously - I know I'm not and don't care, and..that's..okay (Stuart Smalley). Attacking a bunch of women though, well, what class, eh? Sexism on top of bigotry, how about a trifecta?

Two observations regarding our paranoid local lefties ... 1) They sure give conservatives and Republicans a lot of free publicity; and 2) They could use a lesson from the sports world..."Don't ever let them (your adversaries) see you sweat!" Keep it up Dems--such entertainment.
