Breakdown by Ward since I started keeping track (4/11/09)
Ward 1= 69 (Councilmember: Brian Hansen, most foreclosures-least responsive)
Ward 2= 54 (Councilmember: Karen Benker, up for re-election Nov '09)
Ward 3= 37 (Councilmember: Sean McCoy, rumored Mayoral candidate Nov '09)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A pretty bad week for Ward 1 with 6 new foreclosures. Once again there were a couple of foreclosures with Longmont addresses but not in the city limits, and 2 old foreclosures started a new 8 week run in the paper for some reason.

The Times-Call put out an editorial today basically saying " keep hope alive" or something. I guess they don't look at their own Classified section with all of these foreclosures. It takes up pages D5 through D19 this week, seems to be about half of the entire paper. But I guess if they heard about some people who feel that things are turning around or are hopeful, we should just go ahead and ignore these foreclosure numbers and the unemployment that shows no sign of slowing. Optimism is fine, as long as it's with a dose of realism.
