Local skateboarders throw down at Sandstone Ranch

About 60 skateboarders from around the area came out to compete at the third annual Rumble in the Ranch skateboarding competition June 21. The event was held at Sandstone Ranch in Longmont and was part of the 2008 Mountain Madness Series. June 21 also was National Go Skateboarding Day.

The competition had several categories, including: beginner street skate, intermediate street skate, advanced/sponsored street skate, beginner bowl jam, intermediate bowl jam and advanced/sponsored bowl jam.
