I'LL TELL YOU WHY SHORT AND SWEET,
WHY ME AND MY BUDDIES DESERVE THAT SUITE!
MY E-MAIL ADDRESS IS ROCKIESFAN_1
AND MY STORY HAS ONLY JUST BEGUN,
MY MOM AND MY DAD RAISED ME RIGHT,(THAT'S THE ONE OUT PAST 1ST)
TO NEVER GIVE UP TO CONTINUE TO FIGHT,
BASEBALLS JUST A GAME SOME OTHERS WOULD SAY,
WORDS NEVER UTTERED, FROM THOSE WITH THE PASSION TO PLAY!
NOW SINCE THE ROCKIES (COLORADO'S NOT DENVER'S) CAME HERE TO PLAY,
FANS SURE HAVE DWINDLED SINCE (US 80,227) THAT 1ST OPENING DAY,
BUT IN SOME OF US THAT PASSION STILL BURNS,
THRU THE GOOD THE BAD THE UGLY AND ALL OF THE TURNS,
I'LL ALWAYS BE LOYAL I'LL ALWAYS BE TRUE!
A BANDWAGON JUMPER? OR ARE YOU LOYAL TOO!
THE PLAYOFFS WILL COME TO US AGAIN SOMEDAY,(THIS YEAR)
WORLD SERIES THAT TOO WE WILL WIN WHEN WE PLAY!
BUT UNTIL THEN ALL THE GAMES MUST BE PLAYED,
A DIEHARD ROCKIES FAN I'LL ADMIT, I'M NOT AFRAID!
WITH HELTON, HOLLIDAY, ATKINS ET. AL.
SOONER THAN LATER WE WILL WIN IT ALL,
WISHFUL THINKING BY ME?! WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?
I'M THE LOYAL FAN WITH THE ROCKIES TATTOO!!
TO VINNIE AND CHARLIE, EL GATO, E.Y.,
JUST TO NAME A FEW, FROM THOSE DAYS GONE BY,
TO MILE HIGH STADIUM, THAT COORS FIELD MAKES US FORGET,
AND TO MY ALL TIME FAVORITE, A GUY NAMED BICHETTE,
BUT I SAID I'D BE SHORT, GET STRAIGHT TO THEPOINT,
COORS FIELD IS SPECTACULAR, I LOVE THAT JOINT!
TO SPEND A GAME THERE IN A SUITE WITH MY BUDS,
ENJOYING THE ROCKIES AND DRINKING SOME SUDS,
WOULD BE SOMETHING AUSOME NEVER EXPERIENCED BEFORE,
THE ROCKIES WOULD WIN, BUT I WON'T GUESS THE SCORE,
BUT IF BY CHANCE THEY END UP BEHIND,
I DON'T CARE WHO YOU ARE, YOU CAN'T CHANGE MY MIND,
ROCKIES FOREVER! WILL BE MY BATTLE CRY,
AND LOVING OUR TEAM 'TIL THE DAY THAT I DIE!!
