Just Jousting
Contributed by: YourHub.com on 6/6/2005

High drama and fierce competition marked the heated jousting tournament that erupted at Amgen's manufacturing picnic May 25 at Union Reservoir.

Originally billed as a friendly medieval-inspired bonding experience between coworkers, the jousters quickly began taking whacks seriously.

Although  Longmont's Amy Ervin, ("Im really from Houston"), flirted with some success in the ring, her literal downfall came when she tried to exit the inflatable battleground.

In a battle of the sexes, Josh VanKirk of Fort Collins, held nothing back as he pummeled Sara Onderco, of Thornton, with his jousting stick.

Onderco, however, would not stay down easy and the fight turned dirty when she displayed her amazing professional wrestling skills and pinned VanKirk to the mat.
