Ballers meet for pick-up game at rec center

Shoes squeaked and the sound of the dribbling basketball echoed through the gym at Longmont Recreation Center May 5. A group of basketball-lovers met to play some pick-up basketball.

The athletes played consecutive games, with runners and walkers from the track above the court occasionally peering over the railing to get a better look at the action. In between games, the group took turns shooting around and lining up to practice their slam dunks.
