City of Longmont Middle School Soccer League

The City of Longmont St. Vrain Middle School soccer league has wrapped up its season. Longs Peak Middle School, Heritage Middle School, Coal Ridge Middle School and Sunset Middle School each participated in the soccer league this fall creating a total of 6 teams.

The soccer league is organized by the City of Longmont Recreation Services and is a satellite program of The Place after school program which is offered at Longs Peak Middle School.

The championship game was a nail biter between Longs Peak and Sunset. After regulation time the score was tied 4-4, after two over-time periods the score was still tied, after the first round of shoot outs the score remained tied again. FInally after one more round of shoot outs Sunset was able to pull away with a win. Congratulations to the Sunset Spartans soccer team.

Champion: Sunset Spartans
Runner-up: Longs Peak Rams
3rd Place: Heritage Silver Eagles
4th Place: Heritage Red Eagles
5th Place: Heritage Black Eagles
6th Place: Coal Ridge Dynamite
