A Denver foundation is offering World War II veterans who served in the South Pacific islands a free -- all expense paid round trip-- to their battlefields.
The Greatest Generation Foundation is hoping that Marines, soldiers and sailors will apply for the free trip.
Using donations to provide all-expense-paid tours is a way of honoring veterans and helping them find perspective and peace about the roles in the battles they fought, said Tim Davis ,the Australian-born president of the foundation.
To apply you'll need a Veteran Biography Form mailed to The Greatest Generations Foundation, 3773 Cherry Ceek North Drive, Suite 575, Denver, 80209.Phone is (303) 331-1944. Fax the foundation at (310) 691-8151) Or pull down an application from
www.tggf.us
David Alter will be there.
