Must-see TV and Piney Lake, Part II

Photos from a second trip to Piney Lake. Luckily, the Forest Service or whoever graded the road, so it's much more accessible than last time.

I was bitten by three mosquitoes on the trip, more than I'd seen altogether in three years on the Front Range.

The Wailers also kicked off the free summer concert series at Ford Amphitheater (which is a great venue in and of itself). It was a good show, the singer sounded remarkably like Bob, and they played a lot of old classics such as "Stir it Up," "I Shot the Sheriff" and "One Love" as well as some newer stuff. The amphitheater was packed - standing room only, basically.

There was quite a mix of people at the show, from 60-year-old second-home owners drinking white wine and champagne (at a Wailers concert!) to 20-something "bros" with nappy dreads and dirty clothes.

So, in that vein, here's a link to a hilarious video that I shot and Ingrid produced featuring some of the stranger "dancing" at the show. Make sure to listen to the song playing in the background.
