Woman assaulted with inner tube

Several officers responded to the area of Eben G. Fine Park in Boulder on the report of an assault July 21. The victim stated the suspect asked for a beer and after she gave it to him he began insulting her and friends who were with her. When the victim said she was going to call police, the suspect picked up a fully inflated inner tube and struck her in the face. The 33 year-old male was arrested and charged with third-degree assault.
