Blog Entry 18 of 49 Alpenglow
I am a former community journalist at YourHub.com who lived in Vail for two years before moving to Cody, Wyo., where I live now. I mostly use YourHub.com to keep in touch with my former colleagues at YourHub.com World Headquarters in Denver, but I also like photography and post a lot of photos. Midcoast Maine -- shine or rain
Contributed by: Joel Hunt   on 7/28/2007

Ingrid and I went to Maine for a week to stay with her parents. They had rented a cabin in Harpswell and told us that we could stay there with them for free if we wanted to pay for airfare. I'd never been to Maine before and hadn't been to the Northeast in 20 years (since I was in grade school), so I jumped at the chance.

It was a lot of fun except for the three-hour delay at O'Hare airport on the way home. (And risking life and limb on the Super Shuttle to DIA and back).

I wrote a travel article for the Daily, which is on the Daily's Web site here.

The rest of the photos are attached. I also designed the newspaper page as well (I'm a triple threat!).

I love photo No. 6 with the flower framed by the dead tree. Reminds me of an Ansel Adams.
