Amy Michelle Bags will have a special showing June 25-28 at the Sam's Club, 550 South McCaslin Blvd, in Louisville, of their mommy-baby bags, including their new ecobaby tote. Introduced this summer, the ecobaby™ tote is made from recyled fabric and plastics -- blending fabric material with recycled PET bottles. Their bags are designed to look like a purse but function as the baby bag. Their bags are currently sold in baby boutiques and select internet sites.
Amy Michelle Bags, was created by two University of Colorado MBAs -- Amy Wright and Michelle Herbert -- and is based out of Golden, Colorado. They recently received a "Sam Walton Emerging Entrepreneur Award" from Sam's Club and Count Me In for Women's Economic Independence, a leading national nonprofit provider of business resources and community support for women entrepreneurs. As part of the award, they receive paid professional business coaching, free access to Count Me In resources (valued at over $7,000) and a Sam's Club Business Membership.
In its first five years, Amy Michelle has introduced four different lines of mommy-baby bags for the fashionable, active mom who does not want to sacrifice style for function. Each bag is designed to carry the essentials for both mom and baby, from infant to toddler. Up to 5 percent of profits benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver.
