Louisville Police Department
Man said he was going to kill alleged rapist
At 7 p.m. Aug. 3, officers were dispatched to the Burger King at 13255 S. Boulder Road regarding a man making threats. The assistant manager at Burger King said a former employee, a 22-year-old Lafayette man, came into Burger King and told the assistant manager he had a gun that he was going to use to kill a man who possibly raped the 22-year-old's friend. The assistant manager said the man would be returning to Burger King later that day. When the man arrived, officers were waiting. When officers contacted the man, he denied the threats. Police issued the man a summons after they found a small amount of marijuana and a broken pipe on the man. Later, the assistant manager called police and said the man called him later and said he hid the gun at a "homies" trailer near Hwy 287 and Baseline Road in Lafayette. It is unknown, at this time, if the man ever possessed a firearm with a wish to shoot someone or if he was making up stories. The case is inactive.
Custody dispute causes argument
At 4:30 p.m. July 31, an officer was dispatched to the Louisville Recreation Center at 900 Via Appia regarding a dispute between ex-spouses. An ex-husband and wife got into an argument while their 9-year-old son was in swim lessons because the ex-husband delivered court-issued paperwork to the woman that explained he wanted to petition her plea for sole custody. He feels she was an unfit mother. The woman's current husband tried to provoke her ex-husband so he'd hit him, which didn't work. Police advised them of a better way to handle the situation and let the ex-husband pick up his kid from swim lessons because it was his day to do so.
Man helps woman learn stick, gets drinking summons
At 11:56 p.m. July 26, an officer spotted a car driving north on McCaslin Boulevard swerving in and out of its lane. The officer followed the car until it pulled into a parking lot. An 18-year-old Ft. Collins man and a woman were standing outside of the car at this point. When the officer asked what was going on, they said the woman was learning how to drive stick shift. The officer noticed the man's eyes were bloodshot and he smelled like alcohol. He blew a .080 on a portable breathalyzer test. He was issued a summons for underage drinking.
