Louisville Police

WOMAN GIVES FALSE NAME
A 41-year-old Lakewood woman was arrested at about 2:45 p.m. Aug. 23 at Avista Hospital, 100 Park Drive on suspicion of giving false information to obtain hospital care. Hospital staff told police the woman came into the emergency room and gave a false name and address. She had come to the hospital several times before and had given different names and addresses each time. She told police she needed pain medication for a dental problem and doesn't have insurance and didn't have the money to pay for the medication. Once she gave her real name, police told hospital staff to treat her. She was then transported to the Louisville Police Department, booked and issued a summons.

COMPUTERS STOLEN
At 1 p.m. Aug. 25, police were dispatched to the 400 block of West South Boulder Road on a burglary call. A Louisville man said a laptop and another computer were stolen from his trailer. There was no sign of forced entry. A side door had been unlocked. There was no suspect information at the time of the report.

CAR DAMAGED
At 5:23 p.m. Aug. 23, officers were dispatched to the 600 block of West Aspen Way on a report of a damaged vehicle. The driver's side mirror and windshield of a 1999 Silver Mazda Protege were broken. Police noticed black scuff marks on the driver's side door, possibly left by a bike tire. Police suspected a bike rider either accidentally ran into the car or intentionally caused the damage. The estimated damage was $1,400, police said.
