Louisville Police
WOMAN CLAIMS SHE'S BEING FOLLOWED
A 37-year-old Louisville woman filed a harassment report Sept. 16, insisting several men were following her. The woman, who describes herself as a conservative political activist, felt she's being targeted because she helped organize a rally at the Democratic National Convention. She said she noticed several men following her around town shortly after she posted information about the rally on a political Web site she maintains. The woman took pictures of the men and posted them on the site in an effort to help identify them. She stated this is not the first instance she's been targeted for her political beliefs. The woman claims former CU professor
Ward Churchill
threw "poisonous gas" in her face as she was exiting a store in Broomfield in 2006.
DOG BITES LITTLE GIRL
Police were dispatched at 3 p.m. Sept. 16 to the 2500 block of Franklin Avenue on a report of a dog bite. According to the report, a little girl was playing in the front yard of her home when an Australian cattle dog ran up and bit her on the leg. The dog's owner, a 41-year-old Louisville man, stated he was surprised by his dog's action. The officer ordered the man to quarantine the dog for 10 days. No charges were filed.
WOMAN ARRESTED FOR REFUSING TO LEAVE
A 39-year-old Louisville woman was arrested Sept. 13 on suspicion of first-degree trespass, false imprisonment and domestic violence after she refused to leave her boyfriend's home. A 69-year-old Louisville man who lives on the 900 block of Rex Street called the police at around 5 a.m. after several attempts to force the woman to leave his home. The man stated the incident began earlier that night when he and the woman were having a dinner party with a mutual female friend. At around 1:30 a.m., the three went up to the man's bedroom, where the two women began to kiss and later "made love." The man stated he was upset by this and ordered them to leave, which they did. The 39-year-old woman, however, came back to his house at around 4 a.m. and refused to leave, the report stated. At one point, the woman wrapped her arms around his legs as he attempted to leave his home. She was later booked at the Boulder County Jail.
MAN'S TRACTOR VANDALIZED
A 37-year-old Louisville man reported someone put shards of glass in the gas tank of his tractor sometime between Sept. 5 and 15. The shards of glass clogged the fuel line, causing approximately $350 in damage. The man was unsure who might have put the glass in the gas tank.
