MAN A GRINCH OVER X-MAS LIGHTS
At 9:09 a.m. Jan 20, police were dispatched to Café de Paris, 908 Main St. on a harassment report. The coffee shop owner said a man his friend knows came in asking for the friend. The man who came into the coffee shop said the owner's friend stole his Christmas lights. The coffee shop owner said he didn't want to get involved, to which the man replied, "I'm going to get him back" and then yelled expletives at the shop owner. When the friend was contacted, he said he didn't know why he was accused of stealing or damaging the lights and said the man was unstable. Police contacted the 41-year-old Louisville man at his house on the 500 block of West Sycamore Circle and told him not to return to the coffee shop. No charges were filed.
SUSPECT MAKES EGG, PICKLE MESS
At 11:32 a.m. Jan. 18, police were dispatched to the 200 block of Lincoln Court after someone threw pickles and eggs on the homeowner's back deck. In a separate incident on Dec. 23, someone smashed a sandwich on the mailbox at the residence, took chairs off the porch and left them in a field behind the house and damaged the backyard gate. Written on the path behind the house was "You are bad people and you have bad dogs." The reporting party said he did not know who might be committing the crimes and said his neighbors' houses hadn't been vandalized. Officers had no suspects at the time of the report.
MAN ARRESTED AFTER FIGHT
A 29-year-old Superior man was issued a summons for disorderly conduct at 11:38 p.m. Jan. 16 at The Back Room Bar, 328 S. McCaslin Blvd. Police were dispatched on a report of a fight. A 29-year-old man said he was called a slur for a homosexual by another man and so he proceeded to attack the man in the bar. <NO1>The men were thrown out and the 29-year-old kept beating up the other man. <NO>The 29-year-old, who had a bloody nose and mouth was taken to Arista Hospital. The other man left before police arrived.
