Blotter: Pantless man gets DUI

Louisville Police

PANTLESS MAN GETS DUI
A 31-year-old Eldorado Springs man was arrested on suspicion of DUI at approximately 4:13 p.m. Feb. 19 on the 800 block of Coal Creek Circle. Police responded to a suspected DUI call and located the car driving in a parking lot with its hazards on. When the driver was contacted, he wasn't wearing any pants, but his pants were lying over his legs. The driver said a girl got him to take his pants off and asked if she had called police. The man failed a sobriety test and blew a .256 on a portable Breathalyzer test. He was taken to the Louisville Police Department and issued a summons before being released to a sober party.

SOBER PARTY NOT SOBER
A 27-year-old Louisville man was arrested on suspicion of DWAI, driving with a suspended or revoked license and failure to provide proof of insurance at approximately 11:01 p.m. Feb. 16 at the intersection of South Boulder Road and McCaslin Boulevard. The man was pulled over for speeding and appeared to be intoxicated. He said he had one beer three hours earlier and he picked up friends that were too drunk to drive home from The Back Room Bar. Police asked the man to perform a sobriety test, but the man said he could be completely sober and not pass. He was taken to the Louisville Police Department where he asked to use the restroom. He was told he would have to wait until his Breathalyzer test was complete. He proceeded to urinate in his pants seemingly without any knowledge. The man was issued a summons.

MAN CLAIMS POLICE BRUTALITY
A 40-year-old Erie man was arrested at approximately 11:02 p.m. Feb. 18 on the 300 block of South McCaslin Boulevard on suspicion of DUI. Police responded to a DUI call after a reporting party said a man that appeared drunk was trying to get into his car. The man refused to get out of his car and struggled with police. The man said it was a false arrest and a case of police brutality when police had to push the man in a patrol car. A witness said the man had previously been kicked out of The Back Room Bar, 330 S. McCaslin Blvd., and saw the man leave in his car. The man refused to take a blood or Breathalyzer test because he said it would be wasting tax payer's time and money to make him go through the process. He was taken to Boulder County Jail.
