Blotter: Four cars' tires slashed

FOUR CARS' TIRES SLASHED
Police were dispatched at 9 a.m. March 2 to the 700 block of West Fir Court on a report that a tire had been slashed on a Buick. The reporting party said it happened sometime between Feb. 24 and Feb. 26. The damage was $120. The man said his neighbor's truck, which was parked on the same street, also had his tires slashed. Police said they would increase patrol in the area. Police were again dispatched at 5:18 p.m. Feb. 26 to the 700 block of West Mulberry Street on a report that a truck tire had been slashed between Feb. 23 and Feb. 26. The man said a similar incident occurred Feb. 22 when his son's car was graffitied with what the man believed to be pro-gay propaganda. A rainbow, "Vote no on proposition 8," "Love Tyrone" and "GSA Alliance" or something similar were written on his son's car, which was parked in the driveway. In a third incident, police were dispatched Feb. 24 to the 100 block of South Washington Avenue on a report that two truck tires had been slashed between Feb. 22 and Feb. 23. The estimated loss was $130. There were no suspects in any of these cases at the time of the reports.

WOMAN IN ACCIDENT REQUIRES SURGERY
A 20-year-old Denver woman was issued a summons on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se and teen alcohol diversion and a 21-year-old Louisville man was issued a summons on suspicion of careless driving at approximately 12:07 a.m. Feb. 28. Police were dispatched to an accident near South Boulder Road and Washington Avenue. A white Suzuki Aerio was on the median and another car was near the median. The woman said she was trying to get away from a car following her. The man who was following her and the woman had been to dinner and went to his house after. She got upset and left. He followed her because he didn't want her to drive under the influence. At one point his car got in front of her car and she was worried she'd hit him. She lost control of her car and struck a median and a tree. The woman smelled faintly of alcohol. She was taken to Avista Adventist Hospital where doctors found a laceration on her liver and bladder that required surgery.

DUMP TRAILER STOLEN
Police were dispatched March 3 to the 500 block of County Road on a theft report. The reporting party, who owns a contracting company, said someone stole his dump trailer. The price of the trailer, $3,500, was still visible on the side. There were no suspects at the time of the report.
