Blotter: Lizard's heat lamp is fire culprit

LIZARD'S HEAT LAMP IS FIRE CULPRIT

At 5:39 p.m. March 27, police were dispatched to a fire on Catalpa Court. Flames and thick smoke were visible from the second-story of the house that was unoccupied at the time. The source of the fire was a lizard's heat lamp. The Louisville Fire Department was able to put out the fire.

LAPTOP STOLEN WHILE FAMILY AWAY
At 1:10 p.m. March 29, police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Turnberry Circle on a cold burglary call. The family had left for spring break March 25 and returned March 28. A laptop was taken after someone apparently entered through a window, which may or may not have been locked. The estimated loss is $1,500.
