MAN BECOMES IRATE WITH MEDICAL STAFF
At 7:41 a.m. April 11, police were dispatched to Avista Adventist Hospital, 100 Health Park Drive, after a man caused a disturbance. The man told police he has a problem with women and doesn't like them. When a female nurse asked about his medical history, he became angry and requested to be seen by a man. Medical staff told police they would give him medical treatment if he wouldn't act irate. The 44-year-old Lafayette man has an extensive criminal history. The situation was diffused and no charges were pressed.
MARIJUANA TAKEN FROM SPEEDING CAR
A 24-year-old Broomfield man was arrested at 10:57 p.m. April 11 at the intersection of Dillon Road and 96th Avenue on suspicion of marijuana possession and speeding. The man was pulled over for speeding. The officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana in the car. 13.76 grams of suspected marijuana was found in the car. The man was taken to the Louisville Police Department, was issued a summons and released.
CAR WINDOW DAMAGED IN GARAGE
]At 8:42 a.m. April 11 police were dispatched to the 700 block of Grant Street on a report that a car window in a garage was shattered. Nothing appeared to be missing from the car. The reporting party told police he was pretty sure the garage was locked. The estimated damage was valued at $300.Police had no suspects at the time of the report.
TEENS LIGHT HAY BARRELS AT GROCERY
An 18-year-old Lafayette man was issued a summons at approximately 10:23 p.m. April 10 at Albertsons, 910 W. Cherry Ave., after it was reported a group of teenagers was burning hay barrels in front of the store. When police arrived they saw a group of teenagers, some of whom ran away. Police contacted two teens and asked if the teens had any weapons or drugs on them. They said no, but when police asked to pat them down, the 18-year-old said, "Oh, I forgot to mention, I have a pipe," which he later grabbed from the police car and smashed with his foot. The other male contacted, a juvenile, said he was involved in lighting the hay barrels on fire. He also was issued a summons, but if he takes a fire hazard class, the charges will be dropped.
