Blotter: Man cuts off wrong woman

Man cuts off wrong woman
A 27-year-old Broomfield man was issued a summons at approximately 12:30 p.m. May 23 after he allegedly punched a woman's car. The reporting party told police she was driving May 19 northbound on McCaslin Boulevard when she was cut off twice by a driver who flipped her off as he drove by. She started taking pictures of the man's car to give to police when the man realized she was taking pictures. She said he stopped in front of her, trying to make her hit him. He got out of his car asking why she was taking pictures of his car and started punching her car like it was a punching bag. She drove to the police department to report the incident. The man said he flipped the woman off because she was driving too slowly. He also said the woman threw coffee on his car as she drove off, but there was no evidence of that from the pictures she took and it didn't seem plausible that she could take photos, throw coffee and drive off at the same time. He was issued a disorderly conduct summons.

Dispute over Russia
Police were dispatched to a possible physical disturbance at 7:40 p.m. May 20 to the 800 block of Dillon Road. When police arrived at the apartment complex, they heard a man yelling and a possible dish being slammed. When the husband and wife in the apartment were interviewed, they said they were just having a heated argument about illusion and disillusion. The woman was from Russia and did not know the difference. They said they raised their voices, but it never got physical. The man told police he did not think Russia was as good as the United States, which was a source of the dispute. No arrests were made.

Rock thrown through window at two homes
Police were dispatched at 8 a.m. May 25 after a rock was thrown through the window the night before at a residence on the 500 block of Sycamore Street. The estimated damage was $200. A neighbor said someone threw a rock through his window, too.

Vehicle broken into
At 4:42 p.m. May 26, police were dispatched to Kable Fulfillment Service, 333 Centennial Parkway, after someone broke out a window on an employee's vehicle in the parking lot. Nothing was taken, but the estimated damage to the window was $400.
