CenterStage awarded at Colorado Theater Festival

CenterStage Theater Company (CSTC) of Louisville, CO won several key awards at the 20 th Annual Colorado Community Theater Coalition Festival on Saturday, June 21 st. The festival, which took place in Idaho Springs, CO, featured performance entries from 7 theatre companies from throughout the state. It is only the company's second appearance at the festival.

CenterStage entered the competition with their production of Gangster Apparel, a one-act play written by Richard Vetere, featuring actors, Erik Olson and Tony Vo, and directed by Jeanie Balch.

CenterStage received 2008 festival awards for the following:

Best Actor - Erik Olson

Best Set Design - Lori Worthman & Jeanie Bach

Techtinabulation - CSTC backstage crew

All-State - Erik Olson and Tony Vo/Acting & Jeanie Balch and Lori Worthman/ Set design

Fellow local theatre group, Coal Creek Community Theatre, also attended the festival and won several awards including the one for "first Place production". Cheers to local theatre in Louisville and eastern Boulder County!
