Udall denies ties to deceased Black Panthers

We here at YourHub.com get a ton of press releases and occasionally corrections need to be made. However, few are as funny as this one.

Lawrence Pacheco, Sen. Mark Udall's press person, sent out a letter saying that Udall had sponsored legislation with Rep. Eldridge Cleaver, a Democrat from Missouri, to protect consumers from credit card abuses.

Well, there's a little problem.

Eldridge Cleaver was a member of the Black Panther group, who, ironically, became a Republican later in life.

Emanuel Cleaver is the representative from Missouri.

Pacheco quickly issued a new press release stating, "Mr. Udall is not sponsoring legislation with deceased Black Panther leaders."

Especially ones that become Republican...
